Fund Raising
Fund raising is
co-ordinated by the fund raising sub committee. Group policy is to focus
on major events and to involve as many parents as possible in these in
order to spread the load of fund raising. However, from time to time
there are other smaller, but none the less, important events happening
throughout the year. New ideas are always welcome as are offers of help
both in the planning and running of all events.

We are currently fund raising to build a new headquarters and youth hall at Epsom Methodist Church.

Epsom Firework Display and Funfair
Epsom Fireworks Display & Funfair is an
annual event that 7th Epsom Scout Group organises and will be held on a
Saturday 8th November 2008 at Hook Road Arena. It is a major fund raising
event and help is procured from about ten local charities to which
donations out of the proceeds are made.

Christmas Post
The Group runs a local collection & delivery service in and around Epsom
during December with 4th Ashtead Guides.
This has become a well known, successful and
respected service, providing a worthwhile contribution to the local
community. A great deal of adult help is needed and you are bound to be
asked to help. Please make sure that your friends and neighbours use the
service!
The price this year has
been fixed at only 15p per item
The area covered is
Epsom, Ewell, Stonleigh, Cuddington, Ashtead , Tadworth and Epsom Downs
(the areas covered by the KT17 to KT21 post code areas). Please put
your local post along with 15p per item in our special post boxes (list
follows) or in the Scout HQ letter box behind the Methodist church in
Ashley Road, Epsom.
This scheme has operated successfully for a number of years, and is run
entirely by volunteers, with all the proceeds going to Scout & Guide
Funds.

Jumble Sales
Jumble sales are a regular source of income for the Group and we hold two
each year.
It's 40p admission held at Epsom Methodist Church, Ashley Road at 2pm.
