Social Activities
The Group has a number of social activities throughout the year and these
are co-ordinated by the social sub committee. New ideas are always
welcome as are offers of help both in the planning and running of all
events. These events are for YOU to come to meet other parents, leaders
and Group Executive Committee members, and more importantly, to enjoy
yourselves. We look forward to seeing you there.
Family BBQ and Review of the year
This usually takes place in June and is
held at Horton Country Park. The "Review of the Year" fulfils the
requirement to hold an Annual General Meeting of the Group Council.
The event is for all
families and friends of the group (well controlled dogs are welcome) and
in addition to the food a number of fun activities take place. For the
less energetic there are always new face to meet and "old" friends to
share a drink with!

Group Meal
The Group Meal is open to all Group Council members and their friends.
Previous events have allowed us to be cooked for by a Scouter, and waited
on by the Explorer Scout Unit, with the washing up undertaken by the Scout
Troops. They have allowed us to both raise funds and provide a most
enjoyable social evening for all members and friends.
