History

The 4-7-11 Gang Shows have provided memorable entertainment since the mid 1970s. 1985 saw the Show move to the Epsom Playhouse – a perfect venue in the town centre with plenty of parking available in the Ashley Centre.

The 4-7-11 Gang Show was started in 1975 to introduce children to the stage. It contains people from all sections at Epsom Methodist Church, all of which are either 4th 7th or 11th. The cast is made up of anyone that wishes to join in from Beavers (Over 7), Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Brownies, Guides and Leaders. The audition is to work out what part each cast member will play, not to decide whether to include them or not, all are welcome.

The show is staged every other year to allow enough time to plan the show successfully. The show is performed in Epsom Playhouse and runs for 3 nights and a matinee performance. The Show has the support of a good 'Back Stage' crew, who provide excellent scenery, back cloths, sound and lighting special effects, make up and props, many thanks go to all involved in this side of the show.

The Show includes large musical numbers, mimes, sketches, monologues, dance routines and many other items.
