Group Scout Leader's Report

March was another busy month with District challenge hike and cross country competitions, gang show celebrations and reviews, first aid course for leaders, a trip to Uganda to ‘formalize’ the ‘Street Kids’ project, planning meetings for camps and the launch of a new Explorer Unit based on the gang show and theatre. All this was all in addition to the continuing weekly section meetings and Young Leaders training session.

The Easter holidays gave the opportunity for the annual Explorer Expedition, this year to South Wales, and the Patrol Leader training camp in the New Forest.

Sunday 22nd April is the District St. George’s Day celebration when all sections meet in Rosbery Park and parade to St. Joseph’s church.

A great Scout Summer Camp is being planned in Essex with our Swedish friends and we are hoping to spend a day at the World Jamboree. The closing date has passed but we can possibly take more. Please fill in the application form from our web site and return it to Glynn ASAP.
