Group Scout Leader's Report

May saw our Centenary Camp over the Spring Bank Holiday and what a camp it was!
I believe that it was our biggest camping event ever as a Group and despite the weather one of the most successful! Read all about it elsewhere in this newsletter.

June brings the Group Family Camp at Boidier Hurst camp site and details have now been sent out to all attending (around 100).

A great Scout Summer Camp is being planned in Essex with our Swedish friends and we are hoping to spend a day at the World Jamboree. There is a separate letter regarding helping to set up the jamboree site which will allow the scouts to visit, please do your best to help both us and the jamboree team.
We will also be offering home hospitality the our Swedish friends from 5th – 12th August; please volunteer to provide a home, in return your family will enjoy the activities being planned for the week!

September is already looking a busy month with Water Skiing, Jumble Sale, finishing with the ever popular annual Water Weekend – bookings for this are being taken and there is usually a waiting list so Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, apply early!

Make sure that you are part of the fun, watch out for more details and keep an eye on our web site!!
