Explorer Scouts – monopoly with a difference!

Friday 18th May saw 28 Explorer Scouts playing as variation of Monopoly in real life as their Friday meeting. Below are two ‘reports’ of the evening.

Today we went to London. We were split into groups and we went on the tubes. We took pictures of signs and monuments which were places on the Monopoly board.

We had a map of the Monopoly board and we got points for the higher places on the board (eg Park Lane). Hugh loved it! Within our groups of 4 we had 2 hours to travel around London. It was great fun and we had a good time.

We started at Epsom train station. We then ventured to go to Waterloo where we organised ourselves into teams of 4. Then we went round London by tube. It was good, then we got food, that was also good, we went around London and then to Waterloo and went home.

My highlight of the trip was the waving on the train.
